About

The Slicers

A meeting of minds for the enjoyment of others

As we get older, responsibilities change, our lives become more hectic. So we decided that we needed to find a way of spending quality time together.

After exchanging a series of messages through What's App, it was decided that a golf society was the way to go, and in September 2013, The Slicers were formed.

Our goal is to commit 8 weekends per year, from March to October, to playing golf together. We will of course share food and drink after every game, and we aim to spend one of those 8 meetings outside of the UK. Not all our members will be able to play in every game, but we do hope that members will enjoy themselves to such a degree, that they will feel they can't afford to miss a match.

The four of us have formed a committee and we have been lucky enough to secure some sponsorship to get the society going. Maneesh has kindly volunteered to be the treasurer and we think that everybody wanting to be a member of The Slicers from the beginning should pay a £50 membership, this will be used to pay for some bespoke Slicer Clothing and will help us to provide prizes throughout the season.
